Monday Funday, Frugal February Day 13

Today it truly was just another manic Monday. We all woke up late this morning and seemed to take forever to get around.

I love working from home on days like this. I can take a break to check in on each kiddo through the day and have great discussions about their school work and what they are studying. Today Calvin was studying reasons behind homelessness and Emma was working on stanza’s of poetry. Both subjects provided such rich information to talk about and dive deeper about.

Nick took appliances to recycling which made me feel like a real life grown-up. We finally dragged the old water heater out of the basement and took the dishwasher we replaced to a place we finally found that recycles.

I got a lot of the daily chores done today and worked all around the house. It is sometimes overwhelming to keep up with the clutter but in the end, picking up each day has made sure that messes aren’t getting bigger and too overwhelming.

And…it’s been another boring day on the spending front because we didn’t get anything. Sorry this is so short, I’m just exhausted.
