Let's Go Cubbies!

I hope you all are having a great week! This weekend went by in a blur with the highlight being going to the South Cubs game with my cousins.

We had so much fun! Our cousin Jaime and her boyfriend Tim had a suite that they invited us into. We had such a great time spending time together, laughing, and watching foul balls. Emma and I had a great time meeting all of the mascots.

It had been over a year since we were at a baseball game so we took full advantage of all of the yummy ballpark foods…hotodgs, nachos, ice cream, peanuts, soda, popcorn…we got it all and had so much fun! Seriously, we had so much fun getting away and relaxing with family all night.

It was a beautiful night for a game and we even got the elusive, teenage Calvin away from playing video games so we could have a family night. And oh boy you can see my gray coming through in the couple photo below…trying my best to embrace that and be okay with the gray!

And the Cubs won! At the end they celebrated with fireworks and the teams coming on the field. We had a great time and we were all happy and full going home that night.

The next day was Sunday and was filled with church, napping, youth group, and a yummy dinner of sirloin steak bites in a garlic butter sauce. It was a great weekend…one where you feel rested for the week and are ready to face the chaos.

Which is good because this week has already been a doozy! Yesterday was full of an schooling, work, going to an estate sale, cooking dinner, grocery shopping, laundry, and lots of other responsibilities. Today I am taking my parents to the airport in Chicago to go to England, which is exciting! My cousin Jaime is going with me so I don’t have to be alone, woohoo! This week also includes lots of work, meetings, school, a visit to Purdue for a college visit, more work, more chores, therapy appointments, and more.

I hope you all are having a great week too. Did you feel rested up from your weekend? And if not, what could you do this upcoming weekend to make sure you are ready for the coming week? Comment below so we can all help one another!

Love you friends!
