Lake Time on Frugal February, Day 24

Today was a wonderful day of getting things done in preparation for the warmer weather coming.

Nick woke up early and drove to the lake to meet with the internet company to have wifi installed. We are so excited to finally have internet at the lake and while I am a little worried about everyone being on their phones, I am excited to be able to work from home at the lake and to be able to stream movies on the tv.

We unloaded several bags of things that have been floating around the house that needed to go to the lake. Towels, dishes, decorative items, gifts people have gotten us, we loaded everything up and unloaded and organized items while the internet was being installed. As I rearranged life vests, took inventory of s’more supplies, and folded beach towels, it made me so excited for the warmer months and all of the fun that we will have this summer at the lake.

On the way home we stopped at a discount grocery store called Rabers. We were able to get a lot of things that we didn’t really need for this month but decided to buy for next month. I am having a minor surgery that was moved up for next week and so I had to change my plan of not getting anything extra with my grocery money. I realized that the family is going to need groceries sooner than I had anticipated so I needed to buy new things.

In the afternoon we came home and took Emma to her private ballet lesson. She is competing in a couple weeks and is to the point that her performance is being fine tuned. I can’t wait to watch her perform!

In the evening it was very difficult to not spend money because at the community center around the corner they were having a waltzing night with lessons and then a time of dancing. I wanted to go SO BAD but there was a cost per person and so we decided not to go.

Instead we had a game night. We played scrabble and then trivial pursuit. It was a fun night of family fun.

Only a few days left of frugalness and then we are going back to our lives. Not as normally as before because we have learned things from this but we will be resuming life without being so incredibly frugal.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Loves!
